Our Village

About our village
The village of Church Lench dates back to medieval times and there is an entry in the Domesday Book from 1086 that refers to the village. Church Lench is the largest of a groups of small villages collectively called 'The Lenches' found north west of Evesham in rural Worcestershire. The other Lenches villages include, Sherriffs, Ab, Atch and Rous Lench: all of which are picturesque and have their own individual character.

Church Lench Village Hall
The village is excited that a new village hall has been built. Still located by the church, this is where the village's popular Pre-School and Toddler Group meet. The Hall is also hired out for birthday parties and local meetings.

The Lenches Club
Church Lench also boasts a thriving social club open to members of the local community. Here, regular social events are held and it often acts as a meeting place for villagers to celebrate annual events in the calender such as Bonfire Night and special events like the Queens' Golden Jubilee. The Club has beautiful views over looking the Malvern Hills and is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by!

The Lenches Sports Club and Playground
Recently, the village has been very lucky to acquire up todate sports facilities such as all weather tennis courts, cricket and football pitches with their own sports pavillion. The school is very lucky to be able to use these facilities for games each week.

As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, a new playground was opened for the youngsters in the village to enjoy.
