Autumn 2018

We started the year meeting a new member of Class 2.

Meet Frank!

Frank loves to go home with the children. He takes his diary with him and the children write about what they got up to with Frank. So far he has been to a fair, for a ride on a unicorn, to taekwondo and to lots of birthday parties!

Below are some picture of some of the things we have got up to this half term.

We've been learning about the Romans in our Topic lessons and are looking forward to learning even more after half term. We did our own research together about the Romans and showed that we work really well as part of a team!

We've written loads of things in English lessons where we have been writing to entertain and to persuade. Our handwriting is looking beautiful and we're all really proud of our achievements so far.

We've learned lots of different scientific skills in Science - learning about asking questions, making predictions, collecting and displaying results, making close observations and also making conclusions. We have also looked at lots of famous scientists like Darwin,  Newton and Elizabeth Franklin.

We've enjoyed being able to get outside in PE this half term and have been focusing on basketball skills with Mr Alexander, throwing and catching with Mrs Contardi and tennis skills with Mrs Walsh.

We love our PSHE lessons with Mrs Danby and have really thought about different emotions and how we can deal with different situations. We have discussed how we feel and how others might feel.

Mrs Contardi, Mrs Danby and Mrs Taylor are really proud of how we've all settled in to Class 2 and how we all work as a team. They are looking forward to next half term as there is never a dull moment in Class 2!
