Wow! It is the last half term of the school year! Time has certainly flown by! Our new topic for this half term is: Africa!

On Wednesday 4th June we went on a class trip to Bishop's Wood to help our science work by learning all about plants and trees. We had such a good time learning outside in the beautiful woodland. We played games with our friends to learn about bees visiting flowers, we made natural potions and colour palettes as well as acting out how a seed grows!

We have very much enjoyed all of the sunny weather to play and learn outside. We loved learning about capacity and measuring weight. 

We have learnt lots about the King, his job and his family. We looked closely at his coronation and acted it out with our friends. 

We read a story called 'The Queen's hat' where the Queen lost her hat in a big gust of wind. Her hat travelled all around London visiting all of the famous landmarks. We retold the story and built some of the landmarks with our friends. Can you spot Tower Bridge, an underground train and Big Ben?
