How Music taught at Church Lench CE First School

At Church Lench C E First School music has been planned to ensure children develop a love of music by learning about different genres, time periods, styles and traditions. Our music curriculum has been created using the Kapow scheme of work which explores how music is created , produced and communicated. Children are able to perform, listen, review and evaluate a variety of pieces of music by using their voices and instruments. By the time our children leave Church Lench they will have acquired a good knowledge of how music is created and be able to talk about their favourite pieces of music and how it makes them feel.

All classes

In all our classes music is taught weekly following the Kapow scheme of work. Every child has the opportunity to use their voices and tuned and untuned instruments as well as explore different genres.
