Week 5

Monday 31st January 2022

We looked at the inside of a Baptist Church today where some Christians go to worship. We spotted that there are no pews or stain glass windows like an Anglican or Catholic church. This is because the focus should be on the word of God and Jesus with little distraction of anything else. We also saw that the Baptist church has a large pool where people are baptised just like Jesus was baptised. In an Anglican and Catholic church there is a font where people are christened or baptised.  A baptist church also has no organ but does have a live band which play hymns and songs to worship God. 

Tuesday 1st February 2022 

Today we talked about how our school offers the important service of keeping us all safe. We listened to the story 'Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept' by Jayneen Sanders. We talked about how we need to always tell a trusted adult if we don't feel safe or feel worried about a situation. We went back over early warning signs and how our bodies can feel when something feels wrong. We all have the power to say No when we feel uncomfortable and must never worry about telling people.
