Welcome
Dear Parents
I would like to introduce myself to you as the Head Teacher at Church Lench CE First School. I was appointed in September 2016 and am passionate about inspiring young minds and creating a fun, exciting learning environment for all children to flourish in.
I began my teacher training in London during 1992 where I trained at the University of Greenwich for four years gaining a B.Ed Honours degree. In 1996 I began as a newly qualified teacher at Tardebigge CE First School near Redditch where I taught for three years. I moved on to further develop my career as Science leader at Studley Community Infants School in Warwickshire where I taught for five years. In 2003 I left on maternity leave to have my first child, Georgia. I then decided to have a break from teaching to spend time at home with my daughter. In 2005 my son Charlie was born. I returned to teaching on a part time basis in 2007 with Reception foundation stage, and then in 2010 became full time once again at Tardebigge teaching in Year 2.
During my time at Tardebigge, I moved onto the leadership scale as the Key Stage 1 phase leader and in 2014 became the Assistant Head Teacher. I later became the Acting Head for a period of time. I thoroughly enjoyed this time of my career and although demanding and challenging, it inspired me to become a head teacher! So here I am and I cannot have ever imagined such a beautiful school in a caring, Christian setting to begin my journey as a head teacher. I feel extremely privileged to become part of the community.
Aside from teaching, I have a very supportive family who I am very proud of! My daughter Georgia is 21 and is completing an apprenticeship in the NHS. She has a keen interest in music and art and loves to play the piano. Charlie is 19 and is currently attending university. He is a keen sportsman and plays rugby, football and golf. My husband, Stewart is a keen car enthusiast and will often be trekking off to view classic cars or watching Hill Climb racing. I enjoy swimming, walking and reading when I have the time and spending days out with my family.
I do have an open door policy and if you ever want to come and discuss anything you are always very welcome.
Mrs Sam Price
